  • Often psychotherapy is regarded solely as 'talking therapy'. Yet being 'creative' provides us with the opportunity to work together in a variety of different ways, not just talking. You may already know how you like to explore, learn or problem solve. Perhaps you are artistic, or enjoy writing, music or dance. Maybe you need the space to pause and think before sharing your ideas, and therefore require a slower pace without pressure. I am a flexible and innovative practitioner, so all the activities we engage in together can be shaped according to what you find the most engaging and appealing, so you always feel comfortable.

  • That's a great question! It's so important for you to feel comfortable with your therapist. Sometimes it takes a few different therapists before you find one that feels like the best fit, and that's okay! When researching, look for therapists who are BACP or UKCP registered and specialise in what you are struggling with. If they offer a free consultation, use that time to ask questions and gauge whether you feel safe, heard, and most importantly, like they're providing you with a non-judgmental space.

  • The number of sessions you need is entirely personal to you, your situation, and the goals you are hoping to achieve in therapy. I recommend scheduling a free consultation to receive a more personalized overview of how many sessions may be the most beneficial for your unique situation.

  • Sometimes the sessions when you feel like there's nothing to say can be the most impactful! However, if you feel like you need extra time between sessions, you can reschedule an appointment as long as you do so within 48 hours of your appointment.
